So, Valentine’s day. A day that some can’t wait for, a day some dread, and just another Monday to the rest. Personally, I’ve experienced all of those emotions towards Valentine’s Day. However, this year, I’ve decided that single or not, I will be celebrating love. That is, the love I have for my friends and family who have supported me through the past six difficult months.
As part of this celebration, I have convinced my friends to indulge me in having a cheesy Galentines dinner. Our dinner will include “signature” cocktails, superlatives, and a fun drinking game!
The signature cocktails are pretty straightforward, in that each person will make the group their favorite or “signature” cocktail and at the end, the group will decide on the best drink. The winner gets bragging rights and maybe a prize. I’ve already decided that as the only rum girl, I’ll be doing a spiced-up rum punch. See my Raunchy Rum Punch recipe for the deets.
For the superlatives, we’ll be doing a game I’ve decided to call “Which B*tch”. My friends and I are a pretty blunt group so we love to roast each other whenever possible. That being said, the superlatives range anywhere from “who’s the most likely to trip over absolutely nothing” to “who’s most likely to blackout on a first date”. I created a Google Form with the questions and the winners will be listed on the corresponding cards.
Last, we’ll finish out the night with a drinking game of my own creation, A Game of Guilty Pleasures. Essentially, I just wanted a more provocative game that my friends I could play while also getting hammered. We all have pretty short attention spans, so the idea of the game was to be raunchy enough to keep your attention but also adjustable so you can decide how long the game lasts. You can find out more about how to play the game and my experience playing with my friends here.
Overall, I’m honestly excited about the upcoming holiday! I know some people are going to be wallowing and will probably clean out the ice cream section (hey, no judgment), but I’ve really come to love the single life. And who needs a partner when you could be raging with the gworls? So cheers to stronger drinks and funner kinks!
Happy V-day my loves!
